DISSOCIATION

This has been the hardest year for my mental health. Burned out from years of chronic stress and drowning in feelings of inadequacy, I started detaching and dissociating from the people, places, and things I loved the most. This self-portrait depicts where I found myself a lot — sitting on my cold hardwood floor, fading away yet simultaneously unable to move.
